I'm in Florida. STAY AWAY FROM LEASE, drive company for a few years and learn how to make money and run your truck first. FFE is good for solo otr 48 state. I pass other ffe trucks everywhere I go. I know that they have a terminal in Chicago that needs local and regional drivers.

Hay logex, the on the road training is setup for solo with the trainee driving for the most part(my trainer will run 200 or so a day just to keep the truck moving but he is a lease opperator so o I understand that part). Once the trainer is ok with you driving and judgement with regards to sending the truck on the right path u switch to team status(i am starting that next week). My trainer is excellent but with anywhere the are "bad ones" that people get that boil down to just not getting along sometimes and in those instances they find ya a new trainer. I am personaly happy with my decision decision to come here and am thankfully I found playmakers post. With regards to spats trouble with the new truck smell, o hope u hit a family of double... lol.
Jellybeanz, lionheart0901 and THE ROAD VIRUS Thank this. -
Thanks red. I know as a noob you gotta pay your dues, but I want to actually learn in a safe environment with the trainer's input and direction and not "the hard way" if it can be avoided. Glad to hear you won't be treated as a "2nd log book" as a rookie driver.

for solo driver (OTR) what would the (AVERAGE) miles per trip be, over 1,000 miles per trip, or 500 to 700 per trip, after looking at there web site for starting pay .29 or .30 cents per mile with freightliner or prostar fleet, millis transfer at this time is in the lead with .33 cents per mile and all kenworth fleet,T-600,T-660,T-700 BUT the miles per trip are around 400 to 800 per trip, (IF the miles per trip are over 1,000) for FFE full load ( NOT LTL ) the longer the trip the better and i will consider FFE even with millis transfer

FFE is the same as any trucking company out there. Yes I will eat crow since I talked it up. Payroll issues are the worst and I keep meticulous records. I have never drove for a company that has the most confusing way of paying, get paid miles this week and if you scanned it in late you will get reimbursements the following week. Then if they don't bill the customer they don't pay you, ya I couldn't understand that one. Once you get off your Newbie DM board the miles drop off. I try to run 560 to 580 a day I have never been late on a load always early, so I am a runner. This month mid month total miles, hold on wait for it 3900 with no days off. I take all and any loads. But this week is OK going to hunts point out of Dodge City paid miles would be 1781. I will be there Saturday but doesn't deliver until Monday. Going to try to drop at NJ yard then get something back West. Ran 591 today tired a gruppy.

Then they got done with training 2 weeks ago, yet a woman posted she was glad to meet all 3 of them 1 week ago. What are the odds all 3 were at the terminal a week after they were released?
I have nothing bad to say about FFE. It's just the way the thread developed and evolved. If I didn't read their other posts I could swear they were recruiters in disguise. -
