My miles have picked up dramatically this week 3500 miles. I have a friend that is a grad as well, he gets a great load then gets taken off the load to be given to a new grad this has happen 5 times. The trip I am on now thank goodness it hasn't been taken away paid miles are 2883. But I had to kick a scream to get that one. I have never been late on load averaging 590 miles a day. So just get ready for major change around the 3 to 4 month mark. Getting New CASCADIA on the 16th me and girl friend are going to run teams to see if it's any better.

Please don't misunderstand me, I am not a hater...whether I like it or not I have always been a team player, "good for the group" type of person. :occasion5:Don't know why...think i'd rather be narcissistic and self centered (spat?) I would love to be a part of a company who shines and is the envy of the industry.:salute: I have the same mindset as Playmaker, we do this for the hopes of reaching and helping drivers in this company be more professional. BUT SOME DAYS.....:smt021. I actually got so bewildered(pissed off) :banghead:@ my DM the other day I started laughing.:laughing-guffaw: I could not believe what he was saying..seriously. I actually called and asked if I had a flag by name :dark1:that said " is an #######, treat as such":pottytrain2:, so if I am I could change things. I am totally peoplenet communicator now:computer::headbang:, the only people I deal with is shippers/receivers, working out a LOT better. As long as I don't have to deal with living, breathing people there...I'm good:smt075...ha ha, this is fun stuff, love this forum!! You guys keep me in check between this thread and the academy one, makes me remember why I'm here.

I get a message saying and I quote" Thank you for your hard work on MPG and helping get my bonus". REALLY!!!!!! This comes from my DM. We are the ones out here busting butt getting the loads there on time and trying to make a living and they get the bonuses??? We don't get nothing except a ball cap for having a clean inspection from DOT. Why can other companies not as big as FFE give safety bonues and MPG bonuses to their drivers but we get nothing. Getting really pissed about the nickle and diming. Please someone explain this to me....

Probably just one of those things. You know man you have to take the bad with the good in any field of work. For this serious short-coming with FFE there has to be something on the other end of the spectrum that the other companies do not have that FFE does.

Also consider that your DM probably did not foresee how you might take such a message. He probably assumed he was doing what anyone in management was told to do: Compliment and thank your team on jobs well done. He certainly didn't realize how deeply you might read into it. On a much brighter note (regardless of who got the bonus) I am sure the message was meant with sincerity, so now he considers you one of the better members of the team, so much so that he actually thanked you. That could payoff when you need something down the road. :)

Sounds and looks great, but this is trucking. They get bonuses and drivers can't rely on a consistent paycheck. Everybody in a trucking company except the driver gets paid no matter what the economy is doing. But drivers are expected to have good and bad weeks. Lets not sugarcoat and be positive...lets just deal with reality. In this industry, reality is negative and overwhelmed with driver abuse.

I'm not bashing you or hating on you, just stating how it is.

Ya I guess I might being eatting some crow in the near future. I am just tired of someone else reaping the awards for my hard work. I guess I am thankful for having something to gripe about. I have drove for two other companies and come to a conclusion, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. But I wouldn't be a truck driver if I didn't gripe......lol

That is how it has always been has it not? Aren't there 30 year truckers here on this very board that say that is how it's always been? Yet they keep on keepin' on? Why? Self loathing? Gluttons for punishment? Fairy-tale fantasies of a world where the labor force is treated as the executives? There must be some benefit or nobody would be 30 year veterans, right? Why only look at the negative, there must be some positives or nobody would do it.

I wasn't trying to justify it, just trying to reason it out. How many DM's or dispatchers actually have put in their time OTR? Do they know what it's like? So many companies advertise the opportunity to move up from trucking into management, if there is so much mistreatment why aren't these guys with 10-30 experience choosing to do that?

You see I think there are some major benefits that the drivers are seemingly blind to. I just don't know what they are yet, but there is some reason you all still drive.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

Playmaker...I see where your coming from, however we just have a year to put up with it. I have yet to have any major problems, time will tell. I got into all this knowing I would get screwed so when it happens I wont be surprised.

    Idle air(drop the e) is great. Quiet,cool, broadband, 64 channels, a/c power.
