I see your point as to common area vs private but the photo shows that the camera is pointing at the sleeper. I could kinda see putting it to see the drivers seat so they could tell you are doing things properly. But I can't see putting it where it can see anything other than just the driver area. In my opinion they don't need to see what you are doing in what is essentially your home for most of the time. But I won't drive for a company that uses such devices to monitor there drivers. Just mho

OK folks, we're in the 21st century, very high tech. Actually, this wouldn't bother me. And consider that cameras are EVERYWHERE now-a-days. Restaurants/banks atm/street corners/office bldgs/ plus everyone has a cell phone with camera capability. Just pretend you're a movie star and have paparazzi following you around 24/7 and snapping pics !

    rocknroll81 Thanks this.

Sorry but I don't agree with the views you have on this matter. Not being rude or disrespectful but even rock stars get tired of being watched 24/7. I have been both a band and stage manager for musicians and they only like to be watched to a certain extent. They all still want a private life.

"they all still want a private life". So, that's why they go to public restaurants/nightclubs in a very public area and make sure they're seen.

I suspect this is a camera that only records "events". Such as accidents etc. An "event" happens and the camera can pull it up. It is not being monitered every minute of the day. They would have to hire someone to sit there every minute watching YOU drive down the highway. Ain't happening.

Its the idea that anyone at anytime in any circumstance you can see. when they want to.YOu saying it only happens when an event happens is like me saying yeah I will check on your car when you are deployed overseas, with your keys in my hand.Dont know u or your word nor do I know the guy on the other in of this camera I trust you both as far as I can throw you:)
