These people don't give you any decent pay or miles, yet, want you in a more expensive truck to put you further into debt. I'm merely starving to death out here! I can vouch for those drivers that hadn't seen a paycheck in 2 months! I only had 1 check for $70 the last week of November as I started with them Thanksgiving Day. Why Stay? Because if I quit before my lease is up, their contract states that I am to repay their so-called "bonuses". What bonus? Everything went towards the truck; I never seen a penny of it. I still have yet to post what FFE just did to me 2 days ago.
Depending on FFE's spies lurking about, this is why I'm waiting to inform you on how cut-throat these people really are. After this and other events pertaining to trucking, I've pretty much had it and will be retiring the OTR 5th wheel very shortly!

Ok, I have worked for FFE twice. I went there as an experienced driver for the Lease both times.
Personally, I really liked working there, and if I hadn't left twice, I would seriously consider going there now. They have really defined freight lanes, and they can keep you moving. If you are willing to make yourself known as one that will do whatever it takes to help them out when they are in a jam, they will do whatever it takes to keep you moving, or get you were you want to be. I would stay FAR away from their lease program, and in my opinion all lease programs.
Another thing about them is that you will not find a company that has such a percentage of people that stay 10+ years. They have trouble getting people to stay more than 2 years, but after that people tend to work there for good.
Essentially, they are just like any other big box company... you are just a number until you prove otherwise, they will take forever to service your truck because they have so many, and they will have trouble getting you home. -
im getting ready to start trainning with ffe; in the next few days. this is the first thing i heard bad about this company and i been to alot of sites asking about ffe; and was told ;NEVER HEARD OF THEM; also went to ripoff report.com and i got nothing. so i sighned on this was after i got the run around with schneiders for 1yr. my plan is go get the training obtain my class A, get the experince and then do local work in my area (nyc) this do to the fact the local companies in my area wont hire me with no t/t experince the companies insurance wont pick me up with out atleast 8months experince ive been driving straight truck for 8yrs. and the money isnt what it use to be the company im with now is getting rid of all there straight trucks and bring in trailers and the owner wont pay for me to get my class A, so i said let me go otr; give a company a year put up the crap. get what i need (my class A, the experince) and keep it moving im looking at a bigger picture(the ports in nyc) and ffe; is that company that ill run with for that year im looking at it as a investment in my carear

Thats right! Look at the big picture! Thats what I'm doing looking at the big picture. I found that in my area a lot of class b jobs will hire me and have offered but I want to drive tractor trailer and get into tanker work with the exception of 10 wheel dumps. I also like container work delivering to the different ports. The jobs should start to pick up in my area. I've found that most companies (local)that lease from ryder or penskie wont take you without 2 yrs experience on your cdl or OTR experience. Thats why If a decent otr company with good training pay and cpm comes up I'd think hard about it. I have some local things in the pipeline so I'll be more patient. BEST OF LUCK,REMEMBER THE BIG PICTURE. -
