Nope, they have zero obligation. Infact for many of these lease purchase deals the whole point is to keep the top 1% home once a year, never late. Never sick and constantly banging out loads drivers going. And intentionally starve out everyone else so they can come after you for months or years for esentially free makeing as much or more then they paid for the truck off each and every person who they lease to. Ive heard cases where the same truck got leased literally dozens of times and they made more off garnishing wages for that truck then they paid for their whole fleet. Think there was a big lawsuit over that with CR. England a few years back actully.
Its on you to police your own #### contract. I mean thats a bit like going to a dealer buying a lambo on a mcdonalds salery then being pissed mcdonalds wont pay you enough to afford the $3500 a month payment. There is a REASON why everyone always warns that if your going to lease on then buy your #### truck from elsewhere. This way if the company you lease to tries to bend you over and bugger you. Then you can take your truck, flip them the finger and go elsewhere and be fine. Hell even if the company is grade A top notch best most honest leaseing place ever. Well the economy is still a thing and if loads go away, then they arent going to starve themselves and their own rigs. They will screw you over without hesitation and without feeling bad about it to keep the lights on. And its all not only legal but business 101.

How many times have we had a thread about "fiduciary responsibility?" I've heard it called a lot of things but seldom that.
Albertaflatbed and tscottme Thank this.
