Thanks. Everyone down here wants a part number to cross reference from the fontaine. Too hard to tell them what you are looking for and look that way apparently

Here are the different options for Jost.
I think mine is a
JSK 37USB-A7PX24
Call Jost and verify specs for your application
I went from inboard mount to outboard mount to keep height lower for no tilt option cause I sometimes pull a van or reefer. Keep that in mind when ordering. But seriously call Jost direct, easy to get ahold of. Give them part number and they can break it down as to the specs of that particular part number.Last edited: May 25, 2018

Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Everyone wants my fontaine part number to cross reference but I don't want the specs it had from the factory. Apparently it's to complicated to tell them the sizes I want and look it up that way

I have a Jost on my KW. Not as nice as yours,.. but after buying a brand new Fontaine for my Columbia,.. thinking I was buying an American product. I got a big "Made In China" stamped on to the front plate of the Fontaine. And same as with my old one,.. the jaws need constant adjustment. Junk.
HurstBean Jr., whoopNride, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The Jaws need grease too.
I'd spray them with a bunch of WD-40, (AS it's not a lubricant and will evaporate away) and grease the bajeebus out of them. If there is slop, you can feel a bump or jerk when you pull away that could mean it's time for a rebuild. Sometimes there is an adjustment for that.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Both the Jost and the Fontaine have adjustment.
My original Fontaine on my Columbia was maxxed out,.. no more adjustment. I had a choice to rebuild or buy new. The cost difference was negligible,.. so I bought a new one. Same problem,.. same adjustments,. when no more adjustment left,.. I'll replace the whole thing with a Jost. I havent had any slack problems with the Jost on my KW.
HurstTug Toy, Lepton1 and LoJackDatHo Thank this. -
I called Jost, told them what I wanted to do and they helped me spec it. Like I said I changed the mounting style from my current holland inboard to this outboard style so more work involved but worth it for what I wanted. Wait till you hear what I’m going through to spec new rear suspension and rear ends.
I’m goIng through my old girl bit by bit. I’m wanting a new either Hendrickson Primaax EX or Neway ADZ suspension with 40 or 46k full locking rears. But I want to go New not remanned. Neway won’t sell new aftermarket but Hendrickson will. Stayed tuned for more on that. Need to start new thread to see who’s got either one and how they like it -
I had to put new rears in my W9 after I bought it. The front carrier and the locker had damage (Buyer beware). I ended up getting the complete (Used) rears from a T600 which had 3.25 gears in them vs the 3.73 that my W9 came with. Much happier with the 3.25 gear,. 70mph is a very comfortable 1400 RPM.
HurstTug Toy and LoJackDatHo Thank this. -
Do you have to replace the whole slidder or do they make a head to slap on a fontain stand
