Fighting cheap freight

I guess I would dare say that some people put their principles over their profit...and I think probably a lot of people would consider their principles to be worth more than money, and that would justify taking the loss, in that kind of mode of thought.

Not everyone is out here to make as much money as possible, and that is their right. Some people are out there to make as much as possible, and to hayle with the "no cheap freight" principle.

I guess most fall in middle ground somewhere, but seems there are extremists on either side of the argument. Nothing new there, LOL

 

I actually don't mind the brokers that have cheap freight posted, IF they have it posted with the rate like this broker did. Thank You for not wasting MY TIME !! What torques my lugs is when you call, get put on hold, so-and so is in a meeting or out to lunch, wait for some dingbat to find the right screen. Spends several minutes trying to explain what the load is, and then presents you with a crap rate. repeat this about 10 times and all of a sudden I've wasted 1/2 day. So then what ? Call the next broker and say, "Well, I've got $100 worth of my time into finding this load, so we'll have to add that on ?" that'd go over like a lead balloon !

In the old days (when there were pay phone banks at truckstops) we would deal with people that ticked us off by dialing their 800 number from about 10 phones and then leave them off the hook. It would shut their phones down for a few hours, but I don't think it works like that anymore.
