So what do you more experienced guys do about filling a DEF tank sits on the curb side of the vehicle?

I'm driving a T800 and I've always driven T800's in the past out of either like a company lot or something like that where you're filling at a company def pump and it's no problem but pulling into a fuel Island the wrong direction doesn't seem like a good practice to me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are some truck stops where it is not a big deal to go through backwards. You just need a bigger, less busy truck stop to do it or fuel at a less busy time. I follow Supetruckerdan on YouTube and he has this issue with his truck as well.

Our DEF pump has access on both sides. My truck has the tank on the drivers’ side, but on the twin screws it’s on the passenger side.

If need be, you can drop the trailer and go in backwards. Just in case some prick noses up to you.

When I drove a company truck at JJW I had the same issue with their truck having DEF on the right as well. Most of the time I would crowd the truck to the right side of the fuel island and try n stop where the tank was just passed the pump at the end the DEF hose was. I would fill up on diesel and hopefully the guy to the right of me had finished fueling and I would grad his DEF hose to fill my truck up as they would just reach most of the time.

Carry a plastic jug, or buy the boxed version of it.

Company truck. The good news is it's high mileage and will be rotated out soon.
