Are you building the engine or having it built?

Barring un-forseen lottery winnings, I will be doing all the mods myself except for intake fabbing should twin turbos appear lol. It will most likely be a progressive thing where I do all the fuel pump work and timing first, then injectors and and modifying the turbo or turbo setup. Of course something else I think of now is that most front axles I have seen do not have very fast ratios. Would you be able to swap out the slow front diff with a faster rear diff if the axles were originally rated for the same weight capacity?

off subject a bit but thats a cool project. i have a 63 r190 that i put a dt466 in. lil firewall fab and new front motor mount fits like a glove. in a 6 wheel dump truck with way slow gears. 55 max speed but sips fuel and hauls gravel like a new one! strait pipes to annoy the neighbors and id almost rather drive that than my pete! good luck on that. also you dont wanna lug that too much even empty since those motors like a higher rpm anyway.

You can get what ever ratio you need in your front drive axle. I think the reason you only see the lower ratios are most trucks that need a front drive axle need low gears.

Nice truck! I love big old trucks but they sure can be a time and materials pit. Glad when they are finished and can enjoy them.. Be sure to add the pyrometer and boost gauges!

Thanks! I fell in love the first time I saw her, and when I heard the price, I couldn't pass her up! I told my wife from the begining that It was probably going to cost between $10-15,000 to get her where I want, but that I don't want the 4 wheelers, or motorcycles, or the fast car, and I already have all the guns I need... She actually didn't grumble, at least not out loud!
