Final Mile?

    How’s the final mile marker really doing for those who own their trucks? 26ft box and the like?

    I’m relatively curious about this. I’m a mechanic at the post office overnight and I’m thinking to get off at 7:30AM and hop in the box and start doing a few mail loads from 8AM to 4PM wouldn’t be half bad lol.

    Is anybody making a decent living being leased onto a mega with final mile services? What are some good suggestions for such until procuring direct shippers?

    Just get on the load boards and or find a dispatcher that specializes in box trucks in your area.

    The time you spend at ANY job also counts against your Hours of Service clocks that count your work and driving hours in the truck.
