    Codydenton70,
From one veteran to another I thank you for your service. Only a veteran knows the sacrifice and pride of having served. Not only in USN but 44 years OTR truck driver.

They aren't going to fly you out there and just change their minds. Pass their agility test (if you served I would not in the slightest worry about this) make sure your group finishes all the practice loads in the securement barn, treat their road test exactly like your cdl road test and do everything by the book, and when you get in your trainer's truck, DO YOUR PAPER LOG. They are not kidding about that. If you get back to tulsa without it done, that is an instant fail.

Little things really. Follow directions, wear your ppe, climb up and down off the trailer the way they tell you to, stuff like that. On the backing test, you can get out and look as many times as you want and you should definitely do that. It's a starter company. As long as you're trainable and have a good attitude that's the most important thing.

Also, one thing specific to melton, we do not set the trailer brake when parking. Leave the red valve in, and only pull the yellow valve. Make sure the red one doesn't come out with it. If you don't pay attention to that you'll drag the trailer around because you're practicing with it empty.

Yes, you're in good hands there. Any time you have questions about securement or driving or anything the instructors there are great
