Nothing major to update.just sitting here waiting for receiver to open in morning.i always try to shut down at receiver or shipper when possible to save my clock.i have even hit arrived at location and then post tripped.then used p.c to head to parking.and then pc back in morning.safety has never called me on it,so assuming it's quasi legal,as I am not advancing the load.last 4 checks were 1991,1332,2377,1062.company is talking about pay raises.i know my opinion will irk people but I think leave the rookie pay as is.maybe give some kind of longevity bonus at one year paid out over next 12 months.my napkin math shows they spend 6000 ish to seat us in our own truck.our rookie pay is still higher then most companies I have seen.i am still on rookie pay for the next 6 months
FullMetalJacket, Ddh77777, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this. -

I delivered a cat load and they couldn't unload till morning.dude said to go eat at gentlemen's club next door.won 180 on slot machine..first time I ever left a club with more money then I went in with.now I know how the entertainers feel.the dancers were the type you would expect at a club that offered free lunch buffet.so I think I made more then them that nightLonesome, TB John and FullMetalJacket Thank this.

Hey James I might be joining you I was told today by recruiter new beginning pay is 60 cents a mile starting in June.
Are your checks always inconsistent like that? -
Wow your recruiter is fast with the info.i was just getting ready to post it no,my checks aren't always like that.i had a fuel bonus on one and a carry over load on the other.for budgeting thoughts if you just multiply your projected miles by .60 cents it should get you a very realistic projected pay.i think 2500 miles a week is a safe reasonable for a average.plus figure 1 tarp job a week at 100 each.if you take per diem the numbers should be real close to what your take home pay will be.you should average what I just described.i tried to stay conservative.welcome to melton.feel free to ask anything else that you might be curious about.thats why I started this thread.seems like not much driver info online.guessing it's like the old saying,a happy customer never reviews but a upset customer does

Oh wow only 1 tarp a week? I figured you’d have to tarp more.
125 a day is the new training pay for anyone else wondering (per recruiter -
Sometimes we tarp more but I wanted to be conservative on the estimate for earnings.i think I did 2 tarps last weekTB John Thanks this.

I am on a oversized load right now so that pays extra .16 cpm.i think the new pay will put us at the highest pay for rookie drivers.be interesting to see if other companies raise their pay
