After months of researching companies I wanted to find a place I could call home. I asked for a few things if you read my prior postings. Granted I have 15 yrs experience, no kids, no wife, no debt and a storage unit.
    Here's what I got:
.60 CPM any freight that originates from the US going into Canada, yes guys/girls it pays .60 CPM both ways not just at the border. Example: picking up in Kansas and it goes to Montreal.... pays from point A (Kansas) to point B (Montreal) THEN back in the states.
.50 CPM any freight that stays in the US.
1 pick, 1 drop and NO backhauls... ALL miles paid.
I got Loves Travel stop too, 4 points every gallon:)
    Idling the truck.
    1K sign on.
My cat can come with me.
Their flying me out to them, no Driver expenses. No shared room.
Fridge in truck, a nice perk.
OTR, no per diem bs. I like to claim that on my taxes.
    W2, no 1099 crap.
No bs from the company, they told me like it is. I appreciate that.
Elogs which is okay at the CPM rate.
60% of loads go to Canada.
    All loads (98%) are preloaded.

I think I made a good choice. Even at 2400 miles @ .60 I'm still looking pretty good. Run less for more!!!

I'll keep everyone in tune on my adventure. Leaving Saturday the 15th of July.

I hope everyone finds what their looking for. Drive safe!!

    Thank You both!!

I love the smell of adventure! All 48 plus Canada... the more the better.

And I liked the company, they didn't sugar coat anything and after I accepted the offer the ops mgr called me (not the recruiting mgr) and asked if I was sure. Why? Because if your going to Canada your truck needs to be governed at 65mph (which I already knew) and they use elogs. I understood but the CPM out ways the 65mph governor. And it will keep my cowboy hat "in check"... if you know what I mean.

I do have other quality companies that I would share that I didn't choose. I could tell anyone everything they would need to know if your looking for a quality carrier. I just don't want to give the one I've chosen 5 stars just yet.

i had to go up to Montreal last winter I was impressed with how they keep the highways clean from snow. Other than the border crossing BS i enjoyed the trip.

Good to know... thanks! I'll always be empty on the way back so I hope I don't get bothered that much.

Since he has refused to name the company, must be fairy tale express .

Sounded great till he mentioned going in
    And out of Canada everyday.

First question I would have asked is why
    The other driver quit

    i
It's not "in and out of Canada" everyday. The closest plant to Canada is Kansas. Kansas to (say) Montreal is 1500 miles 1 way but I get paid for the roundtrip since there's no backhauls. "Fairy tale express" will be named soon. Like I said, I don't want to give it 5 stars just yet.

    Western flyer Thanks this.
