Just received the radio today going to dig out my soldering station and take my time and get going with the install over the weekend. Radio looks nice haven't plugged it in yet but I'm sure it's fine. Pics and video to follow:biggrin_25520:

I would love to see if your looks like the one I tried did ....
If mine was clean it would have been cool on the back of that DR-03 .....

I just bought a few factory-fresh faceplates for various flavors of 25s and 29s for the models I've been refurbishing here. As long as your 29 isn't a side-mic version, they've probably got them in stock, and they're only $3 or 4 apiece. They've got hardly any side-mic plates anymore, but all the Philippine radios I've seen have been front-mic.

    Hope that helps,

Okay got some pics up but they're in my profile under albums. Can't figure how to get them here but you can see the radio. Production date is April of 89. Looks bone stock don't see any mods anywhere I think the lady I bought this from took this out of her dad's truck and it looks like it's been there since day one. Have to order some parts so RFX-75 will have to wait might as well do everything at once. Not too shabby for $53.00.

Oops. Sometimes I'm such a "maroon". I neglected to say where I got the new faceplates: Cobra parts themselves 1-773-889-3087
