I didn't make it Monday , got to doctor at 10am for A 1015 appt. Didn't get done until 1245 I had to get to work. I'm hoping to go Wednesday. I'm passing all of the test I take on DMV genie. I was worried about the air breaks but now I know that the best.MIT Thanks this.

I've actually passed all of the air break, combination and general knowledge. I just keep repeating them over and over. DMV here sucks. Hoping to get it all over with soon. When I get on the road with millis, is it possible the first year to NET 1000/week or more? I'm planning to stay out about 4 weeks + then take 5-7 days off. Do they try to limit home time? I haven't talked to the recruiters about anything other than school.

Not knocking Millis, but I got stuck behind one hogging the middle lane today on 285 going about 50. Left lane restriction and I try not to go over there. I swear on one of the few days you actually get a speed limit ride through there and he just had to be there! And of course everybody else was sliding by no problem on his right side but it was so packed I couldn't get over. Dang Millis!

Well, that made for a fun trip didn't it?

285 runs from Lexington NC to Winston Salem NC doesn't it? I live off of business 85 / 29-70 whatever you want to call it.

It is very hard to answer what you can expect to NET in pay. Everyone's tax situation is different. You and I can both gross the same amount but because of our individual tax situation are nets can be very different.
You can definitely do well here, particularly after you gain experience and learn how to operate efficiently. And after you have proven yourself with your dispatcher as reliable, on time and not a pain in the butt to deal with. There will be a learning curve and adjustment for awhile.
Generally speaking you will make more the longer you are out. 5 days off after that time no problem. Not sure about 7 on a regular basis. They are pretty flexible and want to keep people happy so they stay with the company. I would suggest you work that out with your dispatcher once you get going on your own. They have some autonomy on how they operate with their drivers or at least it seems that way.MIT Thanks this. -
