Left for orientation, 10/24, went on the road with my trainer 10/29, and just came home Wednesday night, 11/17. Feels good to be home, I have off through the weekend, but eager to get back on the road.
Setting my truck up the way I like it while I'm here. I got a 2009 Pete 387 with 269k on it. They gave me my first load right into Jacksonville where I live so it all worked out.
So far, I love May and love the road. Been driving 3k/wk, let's hope those miles continue.
Hope to meet some of you to put faces with screen names!
finally home!!

Hey congrats glad your enjoying May they seem like a good outfit for a big company I bet you like the Pete.

Are you in the dry van or refrigerated division, being you are in Jacksonville?
-
Truckernurse Thanks this.

Great, thanks! This is one of the companies I'm researching to get back on the road. Are you a brand mew trucker or did you have to refresh?
-
Brand new...As I'm sure you have found out, hiring OUT OF Florida is slim, one thing I can tell you is keep calling all companies almost daily, as their hiring needs can change. Look into the Comcar companies as well (CT, CCC, CTL etc) They run regional and have you home EVERY weekend

The absolute best company in the industry to train with, hands down!
