5887B4DC-D06F-4048-97DE-E409A3988679.jpeg I’ve tried several ways for coffee on the road. I really love good coffee.
Truck stops just don’t cut it. A couple restaurants did.
    A coffee maker doesn’t.
I came up with the answer. Last addition is a heated coffee mug. It heats the water good and hot. Apparently good quality stainless steel with a lid.
I use the hot water in a Stanley French Press. Coffee from health food store. A good grinder. I finally have good coffee on the road. I can let the heated cup heat while driving. It ain’t gonna spill with the lid. Do have to stop to do the French Press process. Really don’t want to take chances while driving.
Only criticism so far is the lid on the heated mug isn’t that great to drink out of. The Stanley press is much better for drinking.
I’ll see if this heated mug lasts. My only fear.

Try distilled water. And water temp no hotter than 190°.
Here is my french press with pilot house from the bag. Its tastes darn good to me. Notice the foam, that means the ground coffee is on the fresh side of things. 20180624_083918.jpg

They bought I’d show the press part of the French Press.
Also that Stevia is really good. Most Stevia is mixed 90% maltodextrin. This stuff is pure. That little spoon equals one teaspoon of sugar.
I also use table cream. Has 1/10th the sugar of milk. A little goes a long way.

I tried heating water in a coffee maker. By the time the pot was full. The water wasn’t as hot as you need for a French Press. The heated mug does it.

I not only use the vacuum.
This Volvo has great fitted floor mats.
They wash the mats for me.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

Where did you find the stainless steel coffee mug? Does it plug into the cigarette liter?
