Finally... Some good coffee...

I want some of what he's got.

 

Death Wish coffee.
Or even crap from WalMart.
Ground, I just have too much other stuff to bring my hand grinder...
Rival coffee maker, also can heat just water for tea or soup.
Fill up coffee maker with water, couple scoops of coffee.
Throw away yesterdays last coffee drops, rinse cup, put under coffeemaker, and hit the button. I do have an inverter, so 110v isnt a problem.
Wal-Mart powered generic "milk" coffee flavoring. I forget to use real milk when I have it.
5 min cuppa, about enuf time to get dressed, sit down and check the mail with a nice hot cuppa.
My big Orca brank growler holds heat pretty well, but the Death Wish cup, made by Klean Kanteen seems best to me. Also good is the yellow Children's Miracle Network cup if you can find one from last year.
Ok, not everyone has an inverter...

I've been using a French coffee press for over two years. That was when I discovered cold brew coffee and decided to make it myself. Every morning, or start of shift, I take the press out of the refrigerator and press out today's Dayyum That's Good. Then I clean the press and start tomorrow's batch.

When I did hot coffee I like a nice, intense dark roast. Since switching to cold brew I prefer a light roast.

One big advantage of cold brew is the acids in the coffee aren't released. I can make my pot incredibly strong without getting heartburn.

The other big advantage is the taste is better. Without the acid hiding the flavor it really brings out a wide open taste.

Best cold brew I have found is Caribou Coffee. Next time you stop by the Petro in Joplin, stop and get some of their cold brew and a bag of fresh ground light roast.

 

Lighter roast is supposed to have more caffeine, or so I heard.

 

There's several articles on this subject.
The longer a bean is roasted more and more caffeine is burnt off ( out).

 

Mcdees uses the same coffee Tim Horton used to have. So I've read.
