hey scooterdawg,
glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself, that's the most important part. The weather report is calling for more snow 4 to 6 more inches here, and i have to say that people act like they never have driven in the state before. Watching a video earlier in washington were the winds were so strong that they were blowing semi and trailer over and made the have an accident in his pants.
Sorry feeling i'm sure, the school called today wanting to know what my start was, and i told him they he was the one getting paid 4600 dollars to figure that out, and told him to call them. They say that i was approved. Now all he has to do is figure out when i can start.
Just keep up the good work and you will be alright.
Thanks jack

Good to hear, Special Ops!
The snow has been a wonderful thing for us to learn in. We're just over 1/2 way through our school.
Again, real glad to hear your fiasco is about to pay off.

best of luck in school, sounds like you have found a good one. i had 11 in my class to start, the first day one guy quit. it was the backing thing. the thing about the trailer not being in control is sound advice. the first days i did backing were not so good, the trailer was in control. had to change that. still not always in control but it will come with time and lots of practice. due to weather and some family problems i had to put the rest of school off till march but cant wait to go back. let us know how things go.

I have been lucky in the sense of backing because ever since I can remember, my family went camping and my Daddy used to let me back up and hook up the trailer since I was old enough to see over the wheel and touch the brakes at the same time. Then, recently (last few years) I worked for an RV Dealership and I had several opportunities to tow, back up, and park large travel trailers and fifth wheel trailers. And I am here to tell you, that is NOTHING like backing up a 53' trailer behind a tractor, but at least I was able to learn the basic principles behind it. I am by no means "better than good" at it, however, I ain't killed anyone yet. hehehehe
Keep at it LuvTheRoad, and stay in touch! I'm pullin' for ya'!
