Congrats on the 1st month, I agree with you I like that trailer a lot more except when you have to rebuild those axles. As far as 34's in the truck.. man screw that just get a hotel if you are on the road. You have to treat yourself like a human every once and a while..
24kHotshot Thanks this. -
Nice job on getting started. A few questions:
- How much is the dispatcher charging?
- Are you staying in north east or going far?
- Have you been able to get 4 on yet? I have a 50 ft Kaufman w flippers but have still yet to fit 4. We have mainly been doing bigger vehicles though. Finding 4 small vehicles has been tough. The flippers have come in handy though for loading low vehicles and to avoid overhang.
- How much gross have you been doing a week? We tend to do 4-6k a week working 6 days but tolls have been crazy. My ez pass was 3.5k last month. Also we pay for a hotel 2-4 times a week.
- I noticed in your pictures no business / gvwr / city / etc posted on the side of the truck. Any reason for that?

Dispatcher charges me 7.5%
I go where the money is as far as it takes me.
No, just got the trailer and had a single load going home. Full size 8ft bed ram, prius and a mazda cx5. Had enough room for a hatchback but couldn't find one. Could have fitted 4 normal size cars.

My gross could have been better, tough getting the good brokers to work with you when you are new also got delayed with the new trailer and not being able to find a load my first weekend out from the jacksonville area. Lost about 5 days work in 3 weeks. Almost 5k a week. Don't take the toll roads, 3.5k is about 10,000 miles worth of fuel. I set my gps to avoid tolls. What you save in time isn't worth the cost.
I blacked them out in the pics. They are on the rear windows. Take a close look at the rear window and you will see the blackout edit.TexMountain Thanks this. -
Your setup looks nice glad to see everything is working out. I myself am debating on an ez4 or a wedge. Thanks for you info.
