Why don't you try for state assistance, sounds like you would qualify. I lost my job and got qualified here in our city and they paid for all my training at our local college. School, books, all cdl tests and all endorsements including the hazmat background check. Fuel to get to school was all paid for. They have you do a few extra course like resume making, how to prepare for an interview but it was well worth it.You'll have a little more variety of trucking jobs you can apply for and not be obligated to only the company's that give training. I've been working for a coal hauling company now for 6 months and love it.
