    Good Morning Folks,

    New issue has risen.

Started about a week after installation; every time I PTT My gauges drop on the speedometer and tachometer and few other gauges.

I have the radio on my dash, running wires straight to the battery with 12 gauge wire. Using battery ground.

Also, around about the same time, My antenna mount bolts broke loose and my antenna was leaning against my exhaust stack for a good part of the day. I am rather sure this is why folks come in with heavy static after I fixed the Antenna Mount

I’ll be replacing the antenna here shortly.

Would the antenna damage also cause a RF interference that causes my gauges and everything to drop?

    The wire I used.

Because the antenna mount bolts came loose you lost rf ground and the coax was radiating and causing the gauges to go nuts.

Would it be okay to attach the antenna onto this flag holder? It’s not touching the truck at all and secured to the plastic mirror arm.

Those are the best places to avoid.
Free coffee and donuts isn't a good reason to do business with someone. Usually it's a good reason to avoid them.
    Not without an RF ground.
