I've been on the road for 3 months running cargo van freight and have only grabbed ONE backhaul. The deadhead miles that I have to run is starting to take a heavy toll on my profit. Looking for a good broker or website that focuses on backhauls or loads for cargo van freight.

Email BigBadBill @ Bill@farm2fleet.com he's looking to partner with independent's who have their own cargo vans around the 1st of the new year. You won't be leased to him but you will have access to Sylectus network expedite freight through his company. They have all kinds of loads all over the country for cargo vans, straight trucks, and tractor trailers. I have a tractor trailed leased onto his authority and use sylectus to fill in gaps always get solid rates there. There's about 15 tractor trailer trucks leased on with F2F. You won't get access to Sylectus as a solo truck operation.

There is no such thing as a back haul. This is a term used to rip you off.

This is an excellent idea that I would look into if I were you the sylectus is the only way to go to find what you will need. When I joined sylectus they needed a 15 truck minimum in you operation not sure if that has changed.

Im a tl dispatcher out of chicago. We had a guy come in with a cargo van for a few months and backhauls were really touch for him. Key is stay local. Forget about regional. If you're going off of a loadboard you will never be able to cover your expenses on anything regional. Just do loads of up to 100 maybe 150mi.
