Oh i got some good ones for every brand inuding my beloved dodge. Though volvos while neither good or bad as a truck do tend to attract the bottom feeders more and have a reputation for a reason.....also a volvo is the only truck ive seen 3 guys get out of and start kissing in the parking lot before doing a 3 man team shower....and yes i am serious.

Wow this went down hill fast…
Don’t worry volvo wasn’t on my list of potential newer trucks to look at.

You get a bunch of truckers together on downtime and we goof off. Thats just how it works especially on a question like this with so many diffrent and valid answers. And honestly volvos are actully not bad rigs. Their a good mix of affordable upfront cost wise, fairly reliable, fuel efficent, easy to put drivers in because of the decent road autos they got a good number of service centers. Lot of drivers seem to like them too.

They just end up the butt of a lot of jokes thanks to a lot of forigen drivers and companys likeing them and all the stigma that comes with that, they are also rather plain, can be somewhat costly to work on, some parts are dirt cheep and others are sky high they are a bit flimsy compared to other rigs due to how much plastic they use and have been known for wireing issues.

That said if you want new trucks freightliner is the gold standard as the best rounded rigs on the road (note i say best ROUNDED not best) paccar products are overpriced junk anymore but with the ISX are....ok i guess? macks are rock solid but costly workhorses that get the job done, westys are garbage and getting recalled faster then they are produced right now, volvos are middle of the pack, internationals are hit and miss, and telsas are WTF is this crap?

    W923 Thanks this.
