I got the fords because they had the same drivetrain in them , the big cam Cummins or 3406B and 13 speed as a 379 or W-900 but they were 1/3 the price for the same condition.
And the AC was high maintenance . -
IMO, you’d be better off emulating what others in the area are doing. Looking at Clinard, the guy offers pretty nice equipment, doesn’t pay well, and offers no benefits. However, he’s got drivers. -
The couple trucks of his I have been up close to don’t look much better than mine in my opinion. Any idea on how poorly he pays?

I’ve been away from Dot, nearly 5 years. But, Clinard pay was an overheard topic in the driver lounge. IIRC, it was <$20/hr. And, his equipment might be trashed, at this point. Five years on equipment in that industry are hard years, with hired drivers. -
If I am going to be a company driver, I want a king #### rig thats not breaking down. Air ride, APU, subwoofer, and a ##### in the back for when I am off duty.
