    An accurate assessment I’d say

I got the fords because they had the same drivetrain in them , the big cam Cummins or 3406B and 13 speed as a 379 or W-900 but they were 1/3 the price for the same condition.
And the AC was high maintenance .

    haycarter and W923 Thank this.

I think, I know your equipment.

IMO, you’d be better off emulating what others in the area are doing. Looking at Clinard, the guy offers pretty nice equipment, doesn’t pay well, and offers no benefits. However, he’s got drivers.

    Clinard from mt sterling Illinois?
The couple trucks of his I have been up close to don’t look much better than mine in my opinion. Any idea on how poorly he pays? 5A36BB48-5F41-4AD7-9443-8580F95F6302.jpeg
Are these the trucks your thinking of?

Yep. There aren’t many yellow Fords running around Brown County. Haha.

I’ve been away from Dot, nearly 5 years. But, Clinard pay was an overheard topic in the driver lounge. IIRC, it was <$20/hr. And, his equipment might be trashed, at this point. Five years on equipment in that industry are hard years, with hired drivers.

If I am going to be a company driver, I want a king #### rig thats not breaking down. Air ride, APU, subwoofer, and a ##### in the back for when I am off duty.
