It's hard to find decent drivers when you pay low wages and give only 3 days off after a minimum of 3 weeks out. Who would have thought?

Good pay and good hometime does not bring you good drivers. Several years experience, lives in that town and still went under 12'7 bridge with 13' truck and month old trailer
It out of body shop, i get it next week after this freightliner gets fixed.....Flat Earth Trucker and Siinman Thank this. -
Clearly Schneider is relying heavily on technology to monitor their drivers.
And that technology, revealed in the discovery phase of the lawsuit, gave the plaintiff's attorney's more than enough information to make their case.
Add to it the other aspects , failing the hair follicle drug test, twice, the really stupid idea of posting your own driver failure on Facebook, well, this guy was just not cut out for OTR driving.
I was advised when I was a supervisor hiring drivers for Penske Logistics, the most important criteria was "we are hiring good judgement. You can train for everything else" But we were paying at the 90th percentile of pay scales in whatever market we were in. And home every night and excellent benefits.
It isn't rocket science. You get what you pay for.Otr Traveler, RockinChair, truckguy391 and 10 others Thank this. -
