He doesnt use an amp when tuning..When his at6666 was in his jeep and he did vids,no amp was seen..Watch his vids.. -
The term "barefoot" has been used for decades to describe a legal 4-watt max radio. The AT6666 is an export pushing way more than 4 watts. He is purposely misleading people for financial gain. Theres a word for that
-
In my world barefoot means radio only regardless of what the radio is putting out. I think most truck drivers would agree.mike5511 Thanks this.

I'm old. Barefoot in my lifetime has always meant simply, radio and no amp. As in no "foot warmer". Kind of self explanatory don't you think?rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Some folks like to play word games
-
Barefoot =no socks.....Radio and no amp...
-
If your in a different town, state, country how is that accomplished????
How you know its better? Thats when you reach further and hear more with less noise.. -
And the Anytone at6666 has a built-in foot warmer.
I'm not trying to top your story, but I've had CB radios for 45 years. Back in the old days, barefoot did indeed mean radio and no amp, but commercially-available radios were 4 watts max. Now, with illegal exports widely available, the apple cart has been upset. Evidently, when you hear the word "barefoot" , theres no way to know if the operator is running legal 4 watts, export 50, 100, 200 whatever. This is a bast4rdiz4tion of the word "barefoot"Last edited: Oct 12, 2019
Meteorgray, shogun and Night Stalker10 Thank this. -
I guess pre-tinker checks by the owner are NOT being accomplished. They have to take the techs word for it. And the tech will ALWAYS claim improvement was made. Why would they admit anything else?
If the owner doesn't check performance BEFORE the tinkering, what would he have to compare the AFTER performance to?Last edited: Oct 12, 2019
