Fine Tune prices?

Bingo. That’s what I’ve been trying to point out from time to time. A lot of guys aren’t using a real cb radio. Just because you take a radio with extra built in power that’s designed for another band, modify it to work on the 11 meter band, and talk 40 plus miles, isn’t a fair comparison to a 4/12 watt am/SSB cb radio. So when you say barefoot, my mind thinks 4 watts. Then I remember, oh, it’s not a cb radio they’re using, of course they can get out farther.

 

That's why integrity is so important. There's not much left in the business.

 

Yeah but anybody can tell you they did a good job. Without benchmarking performance prior to the work you have no idea if the radio is better or not.

 

Well most who are even remotely into their radios have an idea of performance before and after...
Those who dont,spend $ unwisely just to say to their buddys that his radio does such n such..
Does ford let you take out the mustang gt500 (1000hp version)to the drag strip and road coarse before you buy it??
Yeah you get a test drive with a salesman for a test drive so that you have an idea..

 

If you buy a radio from a guy and he tinkers under the hood before shipping, it would be impossible to know the "before" performance. That's what is called blind faith

 

Yeap...We were discussing the before and after performance..

 

Precisely why I avoid certain techs that make claims without showing anything useful.

 

I agree rabbi but most dont understand the tech side of radios..So all the vids on youtube nor all techs word will not help if they dont know themselves(techs and owners)..
So in that instance we all have to assume what a tech tells us is as legit as manufacturer who built it..

 

I've heard people running Connex 4300-300 barefoot and saying they perform well.
