What kind of antenna does FineTune/HardDrive use at his shack? Just curious

Thanks just curious. I recently erected an A99 just high enough to clear my 2-story roof line, and I'll swap in whatever radio I'm not using on the road. My current inventory is AT6666, HP655, Northpoint (the northpoint model number escapes me now. It's an export)

I don't watch his videos all the time, but this one sounded like a one day invitation, not much time for people to respond. Anyway, I'm just curious about the small black rubber knob he's charging people for?? He gave the impression that he was going to explain it, but he really didn't, other than to say he would have to charge people for the modification. I guess I don't get it, I think it takes away from the looks of the radio. He makes it sound like this rubber knob is the best thing to slice bread....did I miss something here?

I don't have one of those knobs Or one of those radios but I'm assuming it has something to do with making the radio easier to operate without taking your eyes off the road.

One dump has a cobra 25 right now with a 2ft Fire Stick. Its completely stock and has never been cracked open. Mine I use the Stryker 955 which I take out every day because I can't lock the truck.

I need to set the SWR on the Cobra 25 come to think of it. We always ran our 4 foot antennas from the lower mirror bracket aimed forward a bit to keep them from getting broke off so quick.
I'm gonna move the 2ft Firestick to the top bracket and set the SWR maybe today. If I pass him going opposite directions I might hear him until we are 1.5 miles apart.

I haven't had my own SWR meter but 2 weeks. I never new that high SWR's or a grounded out antenna can smoke the finals in a CB radio.

I wanted my own SWR meter because the CB shop is 17 miles away. That CB shop charged me 50 bucks for a 3 ft cable and an Astatic PDC1 SWR / Watt meter. I could have gotten both on ebay for 30 but didn't need to wait.

It seems like no one mentions in these long range CB videos what their antenna setup is.
Looks like Dual antennas will get out farther in front of and behind the vehicle than single antennas will.
Here are two pics that show the signal areas of single and dual antenna setups.

That dual-antenna pattern is fine until the highway turns a bit. Then it's off into the woods somewhere. Every dog has his day.
