Ya been studying the he** outta that manual that way can concentrate on driving tests thank you very much and anything else u can think is welcome.
Thanks for your report ltwombat, super helpful. You said one member in your training got and paid for his own room during training. I read on the Swift website the Tuition for course is $3,900, you had to pay an additional amount for your hotel? May I ask how much? Did you eyeball any other hotels what would have been within walking distance to Legacy Suites or the academy. I won't have a car, but I am willing to pay for an upgrade in living arrangements if I can work it out. I am still in the starting stages of this process, but I am interested in Swift as their train program is PTDI certified. Thanks in advance for your reply.
Swift charges $500 for the room. They guy in my class got his room at the other place for $560. There is only 1 hotel near the Legacy and it's called the Premier. It's right across the street on 83rd. It's the hotel Swift puts you in for orientation but not the academy. I don't know anyone who stayed there so it might be a hole just like the Legacy. There is nothing near the Academy. Hope this helps.
You sign a loan payback agreement on day 1 of the academy that starts weekly payroll deduction once you go solo. So yes it is sort of included but it is a separate loan. $3,900 for the academy and $500 for the hotel.
Okay thanks my recruiter wasn't to clear about that part. I start the academy on Nov. 5th just tryin to get things together before I leave.
Yeah I wasn't sure. Never heard a report out of there, just know it's across the street from the Legacy and Swift uses it.
Yes, they use that one. Once experienced and layoverd and in the area, they normally send the drivers over to Goodyear to the Quality Inn. A lot nicer place.
Okay, so you can sign a loan agreement for both the tuition and hotel, do I understand that right? I was prepared to give them a check up front for the cost of the whole thing. However, I like the idea that Swift would be the one to put up the money for the training. That way if something goes bad wrong and the program is not for me, I am not out in the cold for the full cost.
