Firearms in truck

i have been otr for over 22 years and i have never had the need for a gun that includes going into nyc bronx queens every week for 2 years and that was 20 years ago b4 it was cleaned up like it is now days

 

i believe he was sitting behind the wheel doing paperwork.

 

i understand that we can carry while in states that recognize our permits, but what do we do with the weapon when traveling thru a state that does'nt ? locked up in a box unloaded be sufficient to stay legal ?

 

and the one time you will need it will be your last won't it

 

yes that is what you would need to do. The magazines do NOT have to be empty but they can not be in the mag well or touching the weapon and they DO NOT need to be locked up ONLY THE WEAPON DOES, the magazine is not a weapon and neither is the ammo. Both are perfectly legal to carry.

 

In Ohio, if you do not have a license and are just transporting, magazines CAN NOT be loaded! Both the weapon, and the rounds/magazines, can now be in the same case, but not loaded. As has been said a million times, KNOW EACH STATE LAWS.

The only reason to carry a handgun. A cop is too heavy.

 

I am always carry a big gun with me.
