Im told that CSA 2010 is going to put the hurt, the kinda hurt where your not going to be allowed to drive for awhile, onto 150,000 drivers. Thats a big number. If said number is accurate, can freight rates and miles per driver do anything but skyrocket? I think drivers will be able to almost disregard DAQ reports if this plays out. Its gonna be about safe driving habits, not gestapo bs.

The head of the TCA(truckload carriers association) was quoted back this summer in the trucker that the csa 2010 will be" a driver free agency so to speak" stating that drivers with good records will be able do demand better pay to haul anything.

 

Dont say that too loud! you might scare the bottom feeders!

 

I think the number you quoted is much too low!

 

I use to drive for Marten too....they are doing 80% broker because that is what is paying now a days.

I worked for Marten 23 years and finally left in Jan 2010. I felt bad for leaving because it is now another SWIFT, KNIGHT and any other jippo outfit out there. They no longer care for its drivers at all and I can say this because I have seen all the changes. Roger Marten is turning in his grave. Yes Roger the man and trucker and founder of once a great company. Some of the old still call me to fill me in on the currents BS. Marten is no more then a learn to get your exper and leave.......
