I'm not going to pile on, but 60 going down Mont Eagle is not a super great idea. That said, perhaps you've learned a valuable lesson. There's a reason why it's 45 for trucks.
Good luckbryan21384, dosgatos, Peace_Maker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sounds like it’s not a ticket but a usdot violation….. no court just csa points .
trooper never has to worry about court…. They love them violationsbryan21384, Bud A. and Peace_Maker Thank this. -
I've never been down Mont Eagle, But...I have been down the Grapevine and almost all the major downgrades of the West. One thing that pisses me off is when they put up these slow speed limits for trucks, assuming were all running around at 80K lbs. It's silly when you've got an empty and going Northbound Grapevine at 35 MPH. They should all do what Oregon does. They have a yellow sign SUGGESTING the speed you go for the Gross Weight you have, starting at 110K or 105K down to 30K range.LTL Bull, Long FLD, Peace_Maker and 1 other person Thank this.

I agree. I've been there as well. I wasn't fully loaded. Barely had 14k in the box. Still, not an excuse. I did know better.bryan21384 and Opus Thank this.
