If we had a Congress that cared about the environment, they'd make it so all mega carrier tractors had mandatory APU's.

It's pretty bad when we have to mention them caring about the environment rather than caring about their citizens who are driving the trucks carrying just about everything that the people buy.

Priorities are just a little bit backwards.

I have been with Swift for, how long?
And I have always had high idle times. I was even written up for it once, many years ago.

But fired because of idle times?

    Safe, on time and reliable.
That is what saves this job.

This current virus and Swift have one thing in common.
No one is terminated without underlying/other problems being the actual cause.

What a legend.... did you turn it off to fuel atleast??...I went through the same type of deal with schneider once I realized the fuel bonus was bogus I stopped fueling in the network fuel everytime I thought I could get 50 in the tank. And didn’t shut the truck off unless I was at home or fueling.

Lol maaaaan I got screwed out of 2 fuel bonus’s and I started getting messages from pilot that said I could get up to 4 points per gallon....Nothing else needed to be said lol it would be a nice 55 at night , ac wouldn’t even be on and the truck is just running, I’d be layed over at a terminal inside chilling with the guys, “who’s truck is on outside?” “It was doing a regen when I came in” lol I think I still got about 60$ in pilot points after grabbing a cb

Personally I sleep much better with nothing running. Last few nights it was nice and cool, truck was shut off, apu not running, had a dry load, so reefer wasn’t running. Thurs night was quite a ways north in Michigan, actually ran the Espar heater a little in the morning. It was due for its mid summer test fire. But anyways, I’m thinking the OP is a troll.
