Back story been with a company over 7 years never had any infractions no call offs never late. Always went above and beyond. In August my supervisor came to me put me out o service saying I had an accident in july and didn't report it. The customer of the company just reported it a month later the only proof they had was a still shot of a guard rail pushed over and a still shot of somone checking out the driver side tire . I had in cab video only showing my truck shook but I was going off a 2 inch transition I had no new damage to my truck and the only way I could have hit it and not known it was if the back of my truck hit it the company is refusing my unemployment now I have to pay a lawyer
Fired for not reporting an accident that I didnt know I had

I've seen that so many times. Some corrupt shippers and receivers set up drivers and demand some cash from the trucking company.
One receiver in Georgia was making hundreds of dollars a week by saying a truck ran over some grass and hedge. Usually, $500 or $600 to repair the damage.Flat Earth Trucker, OldeSkool and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
Should be easy to find another trucking job.Flat Earth Trucker and OldeSkool Thank this.

City and State where you live? Don't need to pay a lawyer for unemployment. If contested/employer refuses to pay may be a phone or in person hearing where they ask your side of the story. Worker wins most of the time as long as there was not misconduct, mistakes such as an accident ok and in your case they don't have any real proof. You don't say whether they terminated you for an accident or for not reporting one. Tell the State what you said here. Workers get denied for gross negligence such as not showing up, drugs, stealing..... Sounds like a crappy company if they cut a 7 yr solid employee loose over a minor infraction, even if the there was minor damage and it was your fault.OldeSkool, nextgentrucker, Stringb8n and 1 other person Thank this.

Do you plan to try to appeal it, the unemployment decision with your state or the respective state where the employer is?
That seems really shady. A shaking dash cam doesn't really prove anything besides you could have hit a pot hole. Someone checking a tire on the truck or trailer doesn't really signify anything significant other than checking a tire. Sorry to hear your employer terminated you just based on some "customer's" word.Trucker61016 and OldeSkool Thank this. -
Sounds to me like this ###hole company needs to be outed.
