we're not talking about those kind of u-turns..we're talking about like rolling up say in the middle of some small town you missed the turnoff to go to the Co op or Dollar General you get up in the middle of town and hook a great big uie by Town Hall. those kind of idiot u-turns when you can easily drive 5 minutes down the road and make a normal turn around and say a Big lots there's lots of examples can sight but I'm not going to but you get the idea....

Hi all,

I was just let go from my company for a couple of U-turns caught on drivecam. So this was a termination due to violation of company policy. I was at the company for a little over a year.

I also had a jacknife back in November, which was DOT reportable, and 3 other preventables due to being new at backing.

Just wondering if I stand a chance at a different company.

I am going to try applying to Western Express. I am also considering coke/pepsi, food service, dump truck, and garbage companies. Any idea whether those companies check DAC? And am I better off trying for a Class B job?

I hope not, your obviously careless. 4 ACCIDENTS PLUS TWO SAFETY VIOLATIONS IN A YEAR. Give up your license make the world a safer place. Accident are not because your backing there because your careless.

cuz I had a friend working for USA Truck at the time it was all over the company because it was all over the viral videos to worldwide look at the millions of views look at the millions of reddits..
notice how he casually tosses pieces of the truck off into the woods thinking no one's going to see this y'all... not realizing he was being recorded the whole time. and that was the talk amongst the safety director at the time Billy Cartwright who is no longer there and now they have Allen Lowery in place who basically does not screw around reason they brought him in.
but yes by the time he got done basically tearing apart all the fairings knocking everything out finished the u-turn with a completely smashed up truck drove it down the road thinking he could pull this off and no one will see anything..
that is exactly what happened he did not report it he didn't say I screwed up making a u-turn I tore up your brand new cascadia at the time because this was about 2011-2012 it was a brand new truck they gave him..
but no as you know about great viral videos and trucking perhaps you do maybe you don't when it goes viral it means millions of seeing it it was the talk of the trucking threads it was the talk of at the time America's Trucking Network midnight Trucking radio now of course red eye Dave Nemo and many more..
it also caught the eye of landline it also caught the eye of many Trucking executives it also open up the eyes of USA Truck when it was not reported because other than that pickup over there there were no other witnesses except for the car behind and all he wanted to do was get around if you hear the honking car..
So yes once USA Truck saw what I aforementioned.. What commenced to take place exactly were what the ramifications and results were for that boi.

I heard this was in NYC where the clearance is marked to allow for 10" of snow pack and he would have easily cleared that bridge.

Yet so was I. I was replying to some comments leading up to the idea that all U Turns are bad. They are not. What makes them bad is where and when you do them. I once did a U Turn in a empty parking lot early in the AM. Not possible later on in the day. As a driver I can not stress this enough. When you are in a bad situation stop digging. This does not matter where you are or what you are doing. Throw that #### shovel away.
