Wish you luck my friend. Hopefully they have some good lanes and dedicated customers.

That's a good terminal, because your owner has Mobile, Morrow, GA., and 4 Louisiana terminals. @firespock is lease purchasing from the Morrow Terminal (824). I'll text him and tell him to chime into his darn thread he started, but likes to disappear from occasionally. Will you be a company driver, O/O, or L/P?

I love working with QC. I'm not at an out and back terminal, so we do pretty good. Our terminal has dedicated, out and back, and reload-ables. You will do well also because the amount of terminals your owner has; plus the location of his terminals.

    Update:
So I was in a pretty bum mood the last time I posted, and my posts look pretty negative. But I did notice a couple of you were waiting and hoping for negativity to show up, so at least you were able to get that. We all have to keep in mind that because @R.Hagar is going through a rough patch; doesn't mean all of QC is like that. Mr Hagar is a good dude, and I am confident his rough patch will get better. I do have to ask @R.Hagar, why did you switch to an out and back terminal? I know the guys out of 122 in Ft. Worth are doing really good, St. Louis is now corporate, the Louisana terminals are owned by a guy who has 6 or 7 terminals, and even my terminal in Joliet has lots of different options for freight.

I still wish we didn't have to belong to a certain terminal, but I am enjoying my journey so far. And yes I will get moody once and a while, because no company is perfect.

So far the only cheap freight I got was from that same Beaumont terminal Mr Hagar left. The two times I was there they gave me cheap brokered loads, so from now on I will be bouncing to Houston, Conroe, Ft. Worth, or Louisana to get better paying freight.

The ladies in Augusta are kinda snarky, but their freight is good; so I will just let my dispatcher communicate with them from now on.

Other than that all the other terminals have been really nice to visit, but I am a bit of a social butterfly. Plus I like to build a network to aid in my success. :)

This trip was the first time I was out for more than a week - 15 days. I managed to rack up a measly 4200 miles, grossed $10k, visited an island, enjoyed fresh seafood twice, Cajun cooking, BBQ, got a hotel room twice, and if I would of bounced away from Beaumont I would of made more $. Now I'm taking 3 days off; then I'm going to take a load to the East coast, reload, come back, and take 2 more days off. Life is good my friends.

When I started - I was 2 to 3 months behind with our bills, but now my wife and I current on all our bills. Plus we went out shopping a couple weeks ago, and I have $1200 in the Truck Savings account. I took full advantage of no truck payment for the first few weeks, but even with the truck payment coming out - this is still very doable. Plus it is a very relaxing carrier, because I don't have to hurry. Sure driving on roads with a loaded tank takes, patience, care, and charisma; but I'm down with that. We are the professionals on the road, and we have to understand everyone around is not a professional. I own my professionalism, and someone else on the road is NOT driving my truck.

On my end - DB Kustoms has lived up to their end of the deal, and have been there every time I call or text. They take time to respond once and a while, but they are busy dudes. They have honored the truck more than buying a used truck from a dealership, since a dealership usually gives you a taillight warranty on a used truck. I figure after 60 to 90 days, I can't expect them to keep fixing things for free; therefore I am trying to find things now. Especially if it's something they should of taken care of. They have taken care of everything I have found. It's getting some things repaired on Monday at the shop and my 20" bumper is getting installed.

Keep it real and ride easy my friends.

@firespock does really good too with Morrow (824).

Congratulations and have fun. Don't make the truck your prison - drop that trailer once and a while and bobtail into town, to the beach, catch a movie, visit museums and aquariums, and you will see the true pay off of hauling for QC isn't only about money.

I can tell you talk to Dan and Dave a lot in your replies.. And like usual they still talk about all the db drivers to convince you they are right and you are the best.

I left Beaumont because I was sitting more then I was running.. This terminal had another db truck and he was taking in more then I was, so I switched. I will not go to a corporate terminal.

Idk I'd call this a rough patch as much as you put it Rick. I think qc takes to much off the top and rates are low.

I ran 2300 miles this week, grossed 2857.00 taking home 1360.00. That is the average here. I should be putting 10 cents of every mile driven away for truck repairs and replacement.. That leaves me with an 1100.00 paycheck before taxes. That my friend is not good money for hauling dangerous chemicals and a constant motion load.
Qc should be paying all the fsg they bill for.. Should be giving us the fuel discounts efs gets.. 20-50 cents off a gallon.. And for 62% they should pay the plates or the fuel taxes.

Ad all that to the fact my truck has a good driveline.. I love this cat, but the rest is falling apart around me. And I'm paying out the ### for it... I'm unhappy.
I have asked for a different truck from everyone.. And I'm told to deal with db.

I have lost faith in them behind multiple issues with what they say vs what is actually the truth. So why would I return to a dealer that can't back up what they say.
I hope you make it here.. I really do. But man this gig is just paying for a fancy truck at company driver wages.
