Due to my location, I was convinced as recently as yesterday that Swift was probably my only viable option, and that left a sickening knot in my stomach.

Reading this post, I've put in an application for Stevens, because quite frankly, a 'newbie' has to start somewhere, and if they say anything bad about me for whatever reason.. well, it's a good thing other companies don't take them, as a company, very seriously. At least from what many others on here have said.

Clean driving record and such speak for themselves, though, at least that's the gist I've gotten for the most part.

And I agree with others who have said it's nice to hear a Trucker that's happy starting out where they're at, even if they end up moving onto another company eventually, which many do from my understanding. But that seems to be the nature of the beast, so to speak.

Best of luck to you, and also, I did E-mail you to ask more specific questions. Hope to hear from you again soon. :biggrin_2558:

Had one with Prime and Rohel and got shot down. Im looking all out pending CDL graduation. We have a bunch of students who got pre-hires and then failded their test and lost their potential giggs.

I took the test in Eatontown and the lady was tough. She failed most of the test takers. I remembered that there was a school called EZ Wheels that train mostly hispanics and they all failed. One of the things that she did was to have you alley dock in a way where you did not see the real wheels. So what I did was to pull up once so that I could see them and then proceeded to ally dock and got it in perfectly. She says to blow the horn when you are done and I did and felt like I lost my virginity, graduated high school, and won the lottery... all at the same time...I was that scared.

I did the same thing. I passed the writtens and then when I passed the road test, I did the hazmat application and fingerprints and then once I got the clearance letter, I simply brought it in and had the license issued. Otherwise, you have to pay to have it added on to the license. To my surprize, most people in my trucking school didnt get the hazmat.

its a good idea to have it, it wont limit what you can haul. depending on what company you drive for,you may not even use it. I start at prime on the 12th of may wish me some luck.
