You'd think going over too big a bump and the seat bottoming out on you would classify as an accident with how loose the definition seems to be these days ...

No damage. No report. Apologize and make sure they know you won't do it again. I know you certainly won't. Now, someone who this doesn't take a hit to their ego .... will more likely do something similar in the future. Don't sweat it dude

Too bad cop showed up otherwise you could have got away with not reporting it.A little touch up paint and it's as good as new.

Anyway you're fine, you shouldn't have any trouble finding another job.But in the future swing wider.Sometimes you may need to move your tandems all the way forward if Its too tight to get around the building.

When do you want to change companies?
Where is your location? "Gtown" where is that?
What type company do you want next?
    How old are you?

Not exactly pressed on the company I work for now pay is desent. Only reason I'm wanting to leave is because they have drive cam that are so sensitive it goes off over speed bumps. I would like to be local or atleast dedicated. Mostly drop and hook dock work. Would also consider switching to dump truck. I live Gloucester VA. I'm 29.

Old Dominion Freight Line is one of the best for the type work you're looking for. Linehaul division is drop & hook. You need doubles and hazmat endorsement.
NFI Industries has local, regional, long haul, yard jockey, shuttle drivers.

"Why are you crossing out the word 'accident'on the accident report?"
-Because it's not an accident, it's an incident"
    "You can't do that!"
-Give me an incident report form, then.
"We don't have an incident report form"
    -You do now!:p

First, I agree this type of thing will not cause you a problem.

However, the rules the company works with are from the DOT regulations for companies. They are required to submit a report to the DOT if they cannot prove the accident or incident was preventable. This was preventable. This goes on your record and when you start with a new company they are required to send a request to any company you drove for during the last 10 years. You will have to list this incident on your applications for employment elsewhere.

Don't let that scare you. It won't cause a problem unless you fail to list it.

Now I know this is not a DOT reportable accident but it still is required to be reported.
