i would find another company to do a referesher. honestly. the refresher is just 3 backing moves you do for a week and few trips down the rd that you wont drive more than 5 miles a pop. i went back to them for a refresher in indiana, i thought it would be more rd time... its not until you get thrown into a trainers truck.... then good luck on finding a decent one. i trained phase 2 before they changed it, and i had to do all the phase 1 trainers work.... was so under paid! lol. but really, if you can find another company, any company....run full speed...

I don't understand how the trend is allowed to continue.
Somethin' just ain't right.
I hear that those who fail do so due to "poor work ethics".
I say Bovine Excrement!
Now I think stuff like that is absurdly funny.
I also hear folks ask, "if they're that bad how could they stay in business all these years"?
Good question.
One possibility might be that they've managed to stay in business all these years because they're that bad.
I know
I know
That doesn't make sense.:smt102
But it seems to make alotta dollars :smt108
For the Sons-0-Chester. :smt112

they will stay in business reguardless. they have company drivers to push around becasue they know they need a check (been on that side too), then they they make more money off the l/o aND O/O because they dont pay you enought to run less than 2200mi wk (that to clear your expenses and make a cpl hundred in the end). ya, they have the fuel cap, but they keep switching which fuel companies you can use to stay compliant. for instance. flying j is one of our stops.... i am going to pasco, wa. i know there is a FJ there so i gauge my fuel to make it there and fuel up again. i get there and they are not compliant..... but its a FJ....i had to fuel off the radar because it was the only place i could make it to. another one... going from WA to NJ. dbl drop of potatoes there. i get into jersey and need fuel. the day i was coming into there they take TA off the list..and thats the only truckstop on my route, exit 4. well, due to the rcvrs having issues with times i was stuck in nj for three days running back and forthso i had to fuel there twice (i wasnt going to fill at that price)... it can be sucha hassel. nighmare short...i ended up dropping off the fuel cap and having to pay full prive for a long time... that bites. for l/o we get paid .90mi. then you have to take away thier variable off the top at .14mi, maint .07 mi, .01mi downtime and your percentage for fuel tax and tax fund....you do the math on how much you have left to cover your truck expenses....so they make money off every load you pull because they are payin you pennies on the dollar to haul it. they push so many ppl tpo l/o that of course they end up banking. they do have alot of lawsuits but because they are in UT you have to fight them in UT. i drove for them in 06-07 ad comapny team and it wasnt so bad, they didnt push the l/o option so much. but when i came back to them in 10, omg it changed! you can tell teh greed that took over the company. sad. they have suck a high turn over in drivers they dont care of you quit or get fired, they have many more to replace you.....

when i was on the rebate i did pretty good as long as my students didnt screw up my mpg.....i had one run me almost 600 miles out of route, and another over 300...so my fuel rate stunk!!
-
How is that possible?
With all due respect, ................
You're the trainer.
If a trainee managed to run ("almost") 600 miles out-of-route, ....
who screwed up?
Same for the student who went ("over") 300 miles out-of-route.
Where were you for 6 to 12 hours while the students were
runnin' all those out-of-route miles?
Apparently you, the trainer, over estimated your trainees' abilities.
Just curious what kind of training you received when you first started out. Were you put behind the steerin' wheel and told to wake your trainer up in 10 hours? Or did they spend their time awake and available while you were drivin'?, ready to answer any questions and/or offer advice on how to handle situations that may be unfamiliar for a trainee.
Or at least tell 'em that they're goin' the wrong way.
Ya reckon.
