    $12 a mile X 2000 +/- I have a feeling those guys don't worry about the cost of fuel too much.

    ive been driving for almost 13 yrs and when i started cre had a bad reputation and still has it today! how in the hell do some of these companies still get drivers i dont know. buying your own truck doesnt cost as much as you think!!! check out select trucks near you

    I agree you come out cheaper. And if the carrier gets shady you can move on!!

    Soooo I know you don't NEED to hear this, but I figured it would be NICE to hear....

    YES you were RIGHT! CRE is not a good place.

    I can say this though he needed to start somewhere to get the CDL and the experience and thank goodness he got it and is now out of CRE.

    There is more I could say, but I'll leave it there. :biggrin_2556:

    The purchase price for a Big truck is only the beginning of the costs associated with ownership. Not to mention the additional responsibilities that go with the territory.

    Although, I have to admit, --- I have yet to read an Owner/Operator complain about their boss.
