I had a professor that when we laughed at his malapropisms would tell us "Write what I meant, not what I said."
I could be wrong, but as both a company driver and now an l/o I have been told that there is a window for any bac or drug test and that in the case of an accident I would be transported to a facility that is properly trained for collection. Definitely keep a camera for taking pictures at the scene. Even your camera phone will work, and yes I speak from experience.
First dot level one inspection!

I think that the company has us carry the test kits so they can have a test done too. This is not for roadside, DOT scalehouse testing. It's for if your involved in an accident, and are transported, you take your drug test kit with you, and provide the person collecting with it. That's my understanding anyway.. -

Op wee-weed in a cup for the training crew. However, I suspect, training crew flushed it and made out like they "tested" it. Just went thru the motions.

it is amazing to me the amount of drivers who will chime in and flame someone using that pretrip crap. you all know you have been assigned a load that picks up from the yard at 3am on a saturday, and the shop isnt open and there is no getting it fixed. the load is already late and it is your ##### in a sling if you dont get it there ASAP.
we have all been there and done this, so i see no reason to be flaming him in a pretrip barrage. i dont think he asked about all that, just about what violations would show on his csa.Everett Thanks this. -
While I have always been taught that we are supposed to check under our vehicles I don't know of anyone who carries a creeper and does a level one inspection every morning, evening and with every drop and hook. If you look under the trailer and don't see a wet spot how are you to know the seal is leaking? The op was just unlucky enough to get caught at a scale where they were doing training. Sometimes things happen, I know that's little consolation, but it could have happened to any of us.
