My first solo load was messed up thanks to IBP Amarillo putting the same trailer number on two different sets of bills and a rookie security guard who let me leave with mismatched seal numbers.

I second that. These past couple days I've been starting at 4-6 and no thank you! Send me back to never seeing the sun.

As much as I love being a vampire driver (I do some day driving, like right now...but I've called it a night.) I think I like Pat's plan myself.

Whatever schedule you pick for yourself, day or night, stick with it. You'll be doing yourself a giant disservice by swapping.

Been a vampire driver for just under a year (counting the days, I've got roughly 15 days 'til my one year.) and I largely prefer it over having solar panels. But the days I have to drive when the sun is up, I'm dog-tired by the end of my day because I've gotten used to sleeping during that time.

Best of luck to you! That's for sure!

Schneider switches me around on different accounts, I like the change of scenery, but not the change in schedule. So I'm with you there.

Being in the service 08-12, we had some ###### technology. I was so grateful we didn't have to fight like the revolutionary war. Thank human kind for advanced tech or I wouldn't be here today.

Sorry I'm not a super trucker since I've been looking at sat maps of routes and customers since I ever grabbed 2nd gear. Just a habit I guess since knowledge is power.

Thanks again for all the input!

I decided to run overnight tonight because I get to go home for a day after I deliver so I don't have to worry about my clock.

I liked driving nights in training. Didn't have trouble sleeping during the day.

Yes I am getting plenty of sleep today!

I will do a better job of taking my time as Patty and others have said!

    Thanks for all the support!

I've got it! There's a Cabelas with truck parking by that Pilot too!

I've learned a lot without even moving today!

I will leave in a few hours!

    Something I

I just don't like being overly dependent on technology. If it works for you, great. Don't forget that the batteries for my Rand Mcknally atlas never go dead. I will admit that I am bringing my laptop with me.

    NavigatorWife Thanks this.
