Atlas for routing
GPS for final mile
Satellite photos for a layout of a place you've never been before.
Railroads are NOT your friends, look for bridges and crossings.
One time I was looking for a buisness in a neighborhood, none of the streets on side A crossed over to side B. Satellite view: railroad bisected the area. There was no way to get from side A to side B without "issues". So I had to take the exit PAST what GPS would have taken me and worked my way back.
Better to find out before you get somewhere rather than wander around an unfamiliar neighborhood with a truck that might not fit.Vilhiem, Rocks, texasbbqbest and 2 others Thank this. -
The FREE Alliance Air Show is this weekend and that is across the freeway from the Cabelas and Pilot. Parking will be in short supply in the area. I wish you good luck.
The Blue Angels will be there.

Well, the load to Fort Worth was just not meant to be after all!
45 miles down the road from the terminal my truck decided it was going to display two check engine lights (both orange - one says check). Turns out it was codes for the DEF System. I was told to turn around and come back.
Shop did some diagnostics and did a ReGen (?) and all seems to be fine now. Hopefully it won't act up again.
So I am in Springfield MO once again. Should have a new load tomorrow morning sometime I think.
The good news is the jitters are gone (at least for now!). They left on the highway!skellr, NavigatorWife and Vilhiem Thank this.
