I always get a kick out of seeing pronghorn antelope when I run through Wyoming. Fastest land animal in the Americas.

I had a very large bird carrying it’s prey fly fairly closely in front of my truck. Pretty cool sight.

So, we made it to Washington, did that whole song and dance in the middle of nowhere a little while south of Spokane.

So, now I’m bouncing over to SD, dropping in WI. Picking up a tank in WI and heading for PA.

In the yard. Gonna get up in the morning and help out with steerable stuff and try to learn about those.

Should be fun. Obviously I’m not pulling one anytime soon but a good learning opportunity nonetheless.

So, for anyone out there curious about getting into this that finds this thread seeking information.

This can be a very enjoyable and challenging job.

But be forewarned, this is not like pulling a van or reefer. It doesn’t just “get easier” per se. yeah, eventually you get better at securing or pointing out good vs bad tie down spots and how to load etc. but it never gets “easier”.

Well why not? Because if you’re determined and pursuant you get bigger and bigger and bigger and that adds several entirely different aspects, like the trailer changes, so you gotta learn a new trailer. How to assemble, disassemble, open it, close it, shim it, pad it on and on and on.

I guess maybe after years and years of doing it you get to a point where you just know what you’re doing ( not me, so don’t ask) and it becomes a little easier, but starting out at the bottom, like me, it can be a lot to chew.

So don’t say yes to a bigger size just for more money and end up overwhelming yourself.

Other than all that, it’s a fun time.
