You are allowed 1 carton of cigarettes, and 200g of loose tobacco. Take it easy on 75 North into Winnipeg, that stretch of highway is beat to crap!

Sarnia held me there almost that long for a level III one time. I guess they were just running out the clock as all the staff was driving out of the parking lot 30 seconds after giving me my inspection report.

It's no different than anywhere you pass a scale though. It may be your lucky day and it may not. I suppose they could hit you up at Sarnia, Putnam, Milton and King City but I've never heard of it happening. If you show them an inspection report from the last one I'm sure you'd be on your way.

I don't know what the hell they were thinking, but there's construction on highway 75 at 101 (south perimeter). They closed the onramp from northbound 75 to westbound 101, which you'll likely want to take. Instead you go past and turn left, but it's so freaking tight! Instead of turning left where they suggest - it looked impossible - I went into the intersection and did a big u-turn then took the onramp. Typical Winnipeg planning or lack of planning.

Also if you're delivering in Winnipeg, there's more than a few low bridges along truck routes.

Also, hide your pot under a rock on the U.S side of the border. You can always get more in Canada.

First time, no issues not even searched. Second time paperwork wasn't fully in order so that probably flagged me and they did a quick search but that was all.

First, run to Canada... .. and I thought, what's he running from ? Are the feds after him or something ? Or maybe they reinstated the draft.

back in the day, the US side at pembina had 2 "girls" working. one was young mid to late 20's cute, sense of humor(If I wasn't so shy I'd have asked her out) the other was 40-50 mean old bag who dreamt of the day she would get to use her sidearm on some poor driver.
