Coils just to be my gig back in 2010-2013 From Chicago down to Laredo, if it was under 45k than will stick a partial in the rear. Nothing to heavy, most of the time wrecked cars from copart heading to Mexico. A rival company will snitch on us, but our friends down south didn't care. But now the rail road system takes most of them down south. And it died out, now rarely we get a phone call.
The golden days, when fuel was $4.00 and heading south with great money. -
Hey @Chewy352, how do you find the center of a trailer to load? If you can remember, the next adult beverage is in your honor. And your turn to the Cool Side will be complete.Sneakerfix Thanks this. -
I want to guess but don't want to ruin his chances first. But I'm certain it isn't the middle of the trailer from front to back

I'll take a stab at it...
Center of trailer for loading would be 1/2 way between the center of the trailer tandems and the 5th wheel location?TripleSix Thanks this. -
Let's say you have a 53 step like OP does in the pic. Your empty weight is 31000lbs...12000 on the steers, 12000 on the drives, 7000 on the spread, full of fuel. You're picking up a 48000lb coil that's 7 ft n diameter. No Cat Scale before the weigh station. One shot to load it correctly. How would you do it?glitterglue Thanks this. -
