First Super Trucker moment

Hahahaha.

Have you ever had one of those moment when you back into a spot and the guy next to you pulls out right after you get in , and in your mind you think your rolling . Then repeatedly mashed on the brakes...? The buzzer and light go off and your just like WTF ?

Had it happen a few days ago. Lol. I started laughing so hard when I realized what was happening. ....

 

Lol that happened to me last week but I was in the fuel ilse lol

 

I had a few 1000 +mile days driving bus, with overdrives, I was getting $1/mile to drive.

 

if you'd speed up I wouldn't have to pass you and it was a map book not a news pape

 

I just backed in a spot not even big enough for a truck with my eyes closed all while eating a jelly donut ( strawberry filled ) , holding my coffee , talking on the phone , and using only my knees to steer....






Sorry , I am really bored and thought that was funny.

 

I always get a kick outta these~~~course my 1st reaction is 697? ok supertrucker whadya do AFTER dinner lol..........and see no need to go past what China posted earlier......but for Many of us that was biz as usual back in the day...........typically got last(of 8~10)pick on Salinas area just after midnite thurs/nite fri 3/4am eastern.........and sittin in the point for a late lunch Sunday~~~then right back next week pretty typical~~~&remember the Speed Limit was lowered Nationally to 55 &could only run 10 hours at a crack legally........and could only gross 73k in MO.........lol
and yes i am enternally grateful to have lived thru it all~~~course it helped i wasnt into road dope or i prolly wouldnt have~~~said goodby much to early to a few friends.........

482 miles and got almost 10 mpg , thats what happens when you draft people the whole way, and ya gotta remember to only take the inside lane because its the shortest route . Ya know ?
I dont know if you guys are ready for that kinda challange , but hell I'll get r done.....

Now tomorrow is another story , I have 936 miles and have to be there by lunch time . HAAA thats child's play , I can do that in my sleep . !!!!

HE CAME THRU OFTEN B.S. WITH ME FROM TIME TO TIME .....THEN IT HAPPENED , HAD A LOW TIRE . ASKED HIM TO PULL AROUND THE SIDE SO I COULD AIR IT UP .....HIS REPLY WAS KEYS IN IT , DON'T HIT NOTHIN .....YOU KNOW THE EXCITEMENT YOU HAD WHEN YA GOT YOUR DL'S AND COULD DRIVE LEGAL ON THE HIGHWAYS AND ACTUALLY LOOK OUT THE WINDSHIELD INSTEAD OF THE MIRRORS LOOKIN FOR THE BLUES ....NOPE DIDN'T TOUCH THAT , CRAWLED UP IN THERE I DID . YOU COULDN'T HAVE WIPED THE SMILE OFF MY FACE WITH TURPENTINE. EASED HER AROUND THE BUILDING SLOW AS A SNAIL , HAD TO SAVOR EVERY LAST ###### SECOND AS I HAD BECOME IN MY OWN MIND A SUPER TRUCKER

several years later I drove otr briefly and realized I wasn't even a piss ant in the trucking world trying to keep up with some of the miles theese guys are turning , that was till an ole bull hauler gave me a tooth pic..............

 

Know that feeling. What gets me is all the supers that look in the mirror when I am coming around and then start crowding the center. NEWSFLASH: I am not taking the median for anything short of a schoolbus if I am loaded.
