First Super Trucker moment

I do it every time I see one.

 

Inflated ego = super trucker

 

Let's put it this way, he drove back to Missouri and finished delivering.

That's the visual I get, that Elvis looking dude with his designer Garth Brooks headset strapped to his head and fingerless gloves. He has no friends to call so the only number on his contact list is his Mothers.

After that 4 mile pass he nearly takes the guys hood off. He celebrates with a Twinkee as he zeros in on that orange truck in the distance.

 

Nope. I just try to stay away from him.

 

Charlotte NC to Port Aransas TX in 21-22 hours, a couple of years ago. It was like 1230 miles. But it was in my motor home, so I guess that doesn't count.

I was so wired when I got home I couldn't fall asleep for six hours. Coffee, Gatorade and cigarettes got me there.

 

Old drivers didn't do it. Young pups trying to jump into the deep end of the sleep deprivation pool did.

Old drivers were acclimated to the lifestyle over the years.

 

Back yrs ago when I drove tri-axle , it was nothing for me to haul 30 loads of post holes in a 10 hr day, and I was driving so fast the drop axle never even hit the ground till almost the end of my trip.

 

I stopped to pee today after an hour of driving, drove another hour then stopped by mc d's, then drove for 45 min and stopped at wal-mart to get some diet dew and a carton of smokes, threw my bag of trash in there lot and off I went. then pulled over after another hour of driving took a nap then 30 min later rolled into the flying hook talked some smack on the c.b. then I grilled out flirted with the fuel desk cashier, wait!!!! what am I hauling and when is it supposed to get there? who knows but I had a heck of a rough day so im gonna hit the sack so I can get up bright and early at 12pm so I don't miss the buffet and old school trucker story time at the counter, CMOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!

 

My first time off of elogs I decided to drive from Houston tx to Chicago in one day right lol...nope I didn't make it...I made ut to mt vernon Illinois lol....well I didn't remember pulling over but I did....I parked on side the scale but when I woke up I seen a truck in front of me lol....I got to slamming on the break trying to set the brakes I was yanking on my trailer brake lol... blowing the horn....the low air buzzer came on lol....maaan I got laughed at so much I cut my cb off for the rest of the day lol....Thats when I decided driving sleepy is very unsafe and im not doing it for anybody lol
