All I had was a $35 Cobra from Walmart. It worked fine.
Apparently my enthusiasm for singing George Strait songs was not shared by others on the CB![]()

Dont forget you need a handle
and a jack strap -
Grabbed the bearcat 880 a few days ago, it's nice.
The old cobra 29 broke and I refuse to drive during winter without one.
Down south and in the Midwest they chat a lot, some info useful but most of the times not. -
If the truck I'm driving in a couple weeks doesn't already have one, I'm going to get a decent one this time around. That cheap cobra I had had about a 2 or 3 mile range. I'd like 15-20 mile range this time around. This will be AFTER I buy a *phone.
*edit* lol didnt catch that. Yea I'm planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy Mega if I can get one through Verizon. Dont currently have a phone at all.Last edited: Feb 1, 2014

You'll have to learn the CB lingo, though. When I first got my radio years ago, I spent weeks looking for the alligators and all I saw was pieces of tire tread.

Anyhow....
Here in the States we have something called "Citizens' Band" radio. That's what CB stands for. Here's a couple articles on it.
